With the African bush in mind, the Sabie is designed as a classic stitch down bush boot, yet its utility nature allows it to be worn in an everyday environment. Relaunched in 2023 from our 2004 range, the boot epitomizes timeless craftsmanship meeting modern performance. Crafted with premium 2.2mm full grain leather, the three-part upper is built for durability and comfort. A padded collar gives ankle support while the soft bellows tongue keeps dirt and grit out of the inner. The wedge sole offers an ergonomic, soft, and quiet step (perfect for the bush), while the rubber compound allows for excellent traction. We use a leather insole for better comfort and longevity, while also allowing for an easier resole in the future.

Really nice shoes and great service from Angela. I originally purchased a size 9 and had to swop out for a size 10 but the size 9 is definitely too small and the size 10 is defiantly too big! Are there not in- between sizes as a 9 and a half would be perfect. So nice, but a bit too big now…
Excellent comfort but very slippery on wet surfaces.
About 6 months ago I was in the market for ankle-height (chukka) boots, but...It needed a bellow tongue, wide toe box and wedge sole...
After thorough research and fitting quite a few brands I settled on my first pair of Groundcover products...the Sabie Boots.
They are not as heavy as some other brands, also do resoling (whenever needed), strong, yet soft leather uppers, great ankle support...just brilliant.
In the past 6+ months, they took me on various hikes and outdoor adventures, and I could not be happier! I've polished mine dark brown and think it looks quite good with the red laces...
I wear my Sabies for pretty much every occasion church, work, braai, hike, you name it, and can highly recommend them.
