Our first ever Groundcover boot which we have been making since 1990. The epitome of a utility boot, we designed this as both a hiking and work boot, but it has become so much more as one of our most popular boots. It comes with a trek sole to offer exceptional grip, a padded collar for ankle support, full leather lining and insole to ensure durability and comfort, and bellows tongue to keep dirt out. Built to handle harsh environments, the Berg boot will give you many years of service.

So comfy!!

I am a lifelong wearer of Groundcover footwear. Beside their boots being tough, sturdy and ideal for the Drakensberg mountains where I live, they are the only boots I've ever bought into which you can simply slip your feet, hike off into the sunset and........NOT have blisters!! So comfy, its like you have worn them for weeks already despite them being brand new!! Well done Groundcover and keep up the amazing work you do in perpetuating the craft of fine hand made footwear!!!

Christmas madness, needed a present for my brother....
Got hold of ground cover who suggested ordering online
Got advice on the type of boot required and was very happy with the telephonic assistance.
Placed the order.
Almost unbelievably, received an email a few hours later saying my order had been picked up by the courier.
Received the boots the following day.

Very pleased with my Berg boots, did a mountain hike already, they handled really well. Stable and grip well.
My orthotitics and a thin pair of inner soles fit inside without squashing my toes, this is a big plus for me. The leather also is of a good quality.
