Being so impressed with my first sandal, I then bought one of their small leather rucksacks, which is also still in use. From then I have developed a deep affinity with the company’s products and have had several pairs of sandals, my favourite being the Guru, which I wear everywhere – they are so comfortable and mould to your feet.
What I love about Groundcover products is that they come with a good story and are they are all handmade in Currys Post in KZN – a truly south African product. On top of this story I am proud to own vellies, desert boots, large body bag and a canvas and leather rucksack from Groundcover. Daniel very kindly gave me a pair of their new 2 strap sandals, which are awesome!
It's great to know that the second generation is taking over the business. Pay them a visit, you won't be disappointed!

I first discovered Groundcover in 1994, when Justin and Amanda were sponsoring lovely handmade leather goods at the Lidgetton Tuffy mountain bike race. With our entries we received one of their leather key rings, I also got a cap. After looking into the company, I bought a pair of their 3 strapped leather sandals with cork soles, which I still wear today.
